Meet Our Board Members!
Kathy Little

As a child, I have fond memories of participating in Banning Library’s annual Summer Reading Programs. In elementary school, I visited the library biweekly as part of our school reading program.  In high school, my friends and I spent hours combing the stacks for information for our research papers.

As an adult, I am honored to serve the Banning Library District as a trustee. I look forward to supporting the library’s current programs and look forward to expanding digital opportunities, explore adult and children literacy programs and maintain and expand the  library’s historical collection.

I have been passionate about reading and life long learning for as long as I can remember. Having been an educator for most of my adult life, my philosophy is that where there is an environment for wonder and learning, curiosity will give students the comfort to take risks and learn new things. I’ve always believed in generations coming together for bettering the community.
I decided to become a trustee because I felt there was a need to bring opportunities for exploration for children. Envisioning senior citizens teaching and entertaining children, members of the community volunteering, etc. Since I saw a need, I wanted to do something. I’m honored to be a trustee and having the chance make a difference.

The Library Board of Trustees meets on the first Wednesday of each month, at 5:00 p.m. in the Conference Room. Members of the public are cordially invited to attend.
