Banning History Book now available!
Banning, a Pictorial History Through the Decades, the new local history book published by the Record Gazette Newspaper and Library Historian Bill Bell, is now available for purchase at the library with the proceeds benefiting the Friends of the Library! Quantities are limited and the price is $27, cash or check only.
Help for kids and teens in crisis
The Banning Public Library is pleased to announce a partnership with SafeHouse of the Desert. The Library is now a Safe Place location where kids and teens can go for help if they need it.
New Tobacco Policy
The Banning Library District is pleased to announce our new policy on tobacco use. In the interest of the health of our patrons and staff, use of tobacco products is no longer allowed on the library property, including the parking lot.

Free Computer Classes!
Basic Information Literacy Skills for Adults
The Banning Public Library now offers computer classes and labs in English and Spanish. Classes are Tuesdays from 10-11 AM, and labs are Thursdays 10 AM - 12 PM. During computer lab time, you will have the opportunity to get help from our staff on job applications and resumes, uploading pictures, setting up social networking and e-mail accounts, and other computer tasks. Click on the green Calendar tab above for times and dates.
We will have room for seven people per class. If you wish to save your work from your class or the computer lab,
please bring a USB drive, or you may purchase one here at our cost of
$7. An alternative way to save your work is to e-mail it to yourself so
that you may access it at a later time.
